In addition, it is characterized by a desire to be independent, a strong thirst for knowledge, the impression that everything is possible, and can be done in one’s life. However, at the same time, youth is also characterized by the need for security, a strong desire for stability, and identification with personal ideals. There is a tendency for young people to be in a middle state between the status of children and that of adults. Thus, youth can be said to have characteristics of both childhood and adulthood. Youth in today’s world Youth today refers to the period of time when an individual is in transition from childhood to adulthood. At this stage, the youth is characterized by characteristics of both children and adults.
