Mahan Air

Mahan Air

Mahan Air is a privately-owned Iranian airline that

was founded in 1992. The airline operates both

domestic and international flights, with a focus on

destinations in the Middle East, Asia, and Europe. Mahan Air’s

main hub is located at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini

International Airport.

Mahan Air operates a fleet of over 60 aircraft, including

Airbus A300, A310, A340, and A330, as well as Boeing 747

and 737 planes. The airline offers a variety of cabin classes,

including Economy, Business, and First Class.

In-flight amenities include meals, entertainment,

and Wi-Fi on select flights.

Mahan Air has faced controversy over its alleged

involvement in the transport of military personnel

and equipment to Syria and other conflict zones.

As a result, the airline has been subject to sanctions

by the United States and other countries, limiting its ability

to operate certain routes and conduct business with

Western companies. Despite these challenges, Mahan Air

has continued to operate and has maintained a strong

presence in the Iranian aviation market.

The airline has received several awards for its service quality,

including the World Travel Awards for Middle East’s Leading

Airline – Business Class in 2020.
