Czech Airlines is the Czech Republic’s national

airline and former carrier for Czechoslovakia,

based at Ruzyně International Airport in Prague.

The airline connects most European destinations

and also has flights to Asia and the Middle East.

In 2006, the airline had more than 5.5 million

travelers.

The company has a bonus program called

the “OK Plus Frequent Flyer Program” and is

a member of the Skyteam alliance.

CSA was founded on October 6, 1923 by the

Czechoslovak government as CSA Československé

státní aerolinie. Twenty-three days later, the first

flight between Prague and Bratislava took place.

At that time, the airline had only domestic flights

until the first international flight was made from

Prague to Bratislava and Zagreb in 1930.
