Azul Brazilian Airlines
It is a Brazilian low cost airline based at Viracopos-Campinas International Airport.
The airline operates 16 domestic routes in Brazil with 14 Embraer 190 and
Embraer 195. The airline has its head office in Barueri and is founded by Brazilian
David Neeleman, who also founded JetBlue. The airline started its flights on December
15, 2008. In June 2009, just six months after the operation began, Azul was the third largest
domestic airline in Brazil, after TAM Airlines and Gol Transportes Aéreos.
